I was flabberghasted when I learned about the dangers the wrong skin firming face cream can pose to your health. Did you know cancer causing agents can be lurking? Here's exactly what to avoid and what to look for when choosing the right one for you.
Look for Best Skin Care Ingredients
The best firming skin lotion or cream product will contain natural ingredients that most benefit your skin. Oils and extracts that are rich in minerals and antioxidant vitamins help nourish. Seamollient (seaweed extract) is a great source of nourishment with anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
Increasing protein levels is also necessary to grow new cells. This renewal process slows as we age, but you can boost the process and get it up and running again! Retinyl palmitate (vitamin A - a powerful antioxidant) is known to stimulate the production of epidermal protein and increase skin elasticity reducing the depth of fine lines and wrinkles while preventing roughness from UV exposure.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is probably the most important antioxidant and free radical scavenger. It improves the appearance of rough, dry or sagging skin.
Elastin and Collagen work together to preserve elasticity and firmness. They also act as protection, and help with moisture retention.

Avoid These Bad Skin Care Ingredients
Many creams and lotions you can readily find take a long time to rub in, or absorb. This characteristic is caused by one ingredient you want to avoid - petrolatum. If you're not sure what that is, it's a a byproduct of the petroleum (gas) industry. It takes so long to penetrate your skin because it is not structurally similar to your natural oils. What makes this so bad for your health, however, is that during processing it can easily be contaminated with cancer causing chemicals. Cosmetic companies are not required to test these byproducts for contaminants so they will be passed directly to you where you will rub them into your skin daily, often twice a day or more. Petrolatum can be disguised in the ingredients list as mineral oil. Don't be fooled - it's simply liquid petrolatum.
Fragrances should also be avoided in lotions or a cream when choosing a product you will use regularly. Not only can they irritate and annoy, but some of the chemicals used to create these "wonderful" scents are known neurotoxins! They are toxic to your nervous system! Most common reactions include watery eyes, sneezing, rashes and skin irritations. Not something you should look for in a good product, right?
Also be wary of parabens. These are preservatives that may cause numerous health problems. They do penetrate the skin and get stored in tissue. Once there they cause permanent changes that can lead to cancer. Avoid these!
Best Skin Firming Selection
You reading this tells me that choosing the right product is as important to you as it is to me. When I look for a product that actually works as well as claimed, I research all aspects including the manufacturing process and company that owns the product. What I've found is the absolute best in face firming, cream or lotion.
The best skin firming face cream or lotion will contain most if not all of the favorable ingredients listed while staying away from the BAD ingredients. You can verify that even products by Avon, Ultima, L'Oreal, Clarins, and more have products that contain those bad ingredients!

Don't just take my word for it! Read some of the customer reviews - customers with skin that feels and looks firmer and smoother within a very short time of use. Some with notable crease and wrinkle reduction. Recipients of positive comments on their improved youthful skin. These results are even experienced by those who were skeptical or have sensitive skin and prone to reaction.
